Remembrance Day
I been making Remembrance Day post for as long as I had platforms to do them. The importance of the day was impressed on me by my grandfather, a Second World War Veteran, Captain in the Winnipeg Light Infantry. It always been important to me and given that my generation is largely the last generation with a personal connection to the Second World War it always been our responsibility to pass that direct information on to those in younger generations. Those men and women, we honour today at 11 o’clock, are those that gave their lives for a better tomorrow as they understood it. While we often think of the Great War, the Second World War, and the Korean War as that been a focus for a many years it not just them, it is peacekeepers, and all other battle actions that we have had since becoming a nation. Of particular note is Afghanistan War, which remains a strong reminder of while war does change, the costs of war never do. Lest We Forget Photo by Leafsfan67

Nathan Cirillo have brought forth the idea that even at home the forces of our enemies and the enemies of peace and freedom can be found. We must not give into fear, to do so would stain the honour of those who paid the final and ultimate price for a freedom.
This year marked the 100 anniversary of the Great War, the war that began Canada’s assent into nationhood. In those battles and the actions
